Introduction & Summary
The SaMa Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the Sample Management Application (SaMa), a vital web-based platform for managing biological samples in research and development. The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering, coupled with extensive experience in frontend and backend development. Proficiency in technologies such as Vue, React, or Angular, combined with skills in Python or C# will be essential to the success of this role.
Main Responsibilities
The core duties of the SaMa Developer will include:
Lead development and enhancement of SaMa’s frontend tech stack.
Implement new features such as advanced ordering, sample tracking and analytics.
Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to align technical solutions with business needs.
Maintain architectural consistency and ensure high-quality code delivery.
Establish rapport with lab scientists, requiring on-site presence.
Support integration with the sample management system (Mosaic) and related IMS components.
Key Requirements
Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
Proven experience in frontend development (Vue/React/Angular).
Experience in backend technologies (Python, C#, or similar).
Familiarity with database and SQL.
Strong understanding of software architecture principles.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Nice to Have
Familiarity with laboratory information systems.
Experience with sample management workflows.
