Are you a seasoned engineer who loves turning cutting-edge Generative AI into real, high-impact products? And do you thrive when you can combine deep technical work with people leadership? Then you might be our new Senior Generative AI Specialist & Chapter Lead in Digital Channels Solutions, part of the Oasis tribe.

We’re on an exciting journey: our GenAI Assistant — already live in Denmark across web and app — is now ready to evolve, expand and become a truly Nordic solution. You’ll play a key role in scaling it, enriching it with personalized guidance based on customer context, and shaping the future of how millions interact with If.

At the same time, you will lead and grow a chapter of seven talented colleagues across Denmark and Malaysia, guiding their competence development and supporting them in thriving in our agile, Spotify-inspired setup.

About The Role

You will drive the next leap in our AI capabilities by:

Scaling our GenAI Assistant from Denmark to all Nordic markets

Building real-time, production-ready AI systems that integrate with a growing number of internal APIs and data sources to deliver personalized guidance and support

Continuously refining prompts, retrieval pipelines, grounding strategies, and evaluation frameworks to increase accuracy, safety and customer relevance.

As a Chapter Lead, you will take on the formal leadership of approximately 7 employees across Denmark and Malaysia. You will drive competence development through coaching, feedback, and long-term skill growth, while also recruiting new colleagues and shaping the future of our AI engineering craft. In addition, you will work closely with other Chapter Leads to align ways of working and ensure that squads have the right capabilities at the right time.

Your primary location will be If’s office in Ballerup, where we work in a hybrid setup with fixed team days onsite. Travel is a natural part of the role, and you can expect approximately 10–15 travel days per year. This includes visits to Nordic markets for collaboration and rollouts, as well as occasional trips to our office in Kuala Lumpur.

About The Team

You will be a hands-on squad member in Generators, an agile team that builds customer-facing solutions driven by real user insights. We work with a clear build–measure–learn mindset, continuously validating what delivers the most value for our customers. Collaboration, code quality and a team-first mindset matter deeply to us.

You will be a part of a leadership group of five Chapter Leads in Digital Channels Solutions, where you collaborate on competence strategy, knowledge sharing and developing the engineering culture across the organization.

Who are you?

In addition, you can relate to the following core qualifications:

Solid senior experience in back-end software development, ideally with Python.

Strong practical experience with Generative AI models, LLM APIs, and prompt engineering.

Experience integrating AI into production systems using relevant SDKs, frameworks, and APIs.

Cloud and DevOps experience: Azure, Azure DevOps, CI/CD, IaC, Git.

Ability to evaluate AI quality systematically and build reliable guardrails.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to turn complex challenges into elegant technical solutions.

Excellent communication skills and a natural inclination to collaborate and mentor others.

It’s not a requirement, but it’s definitely a plus if you bring some of the following experience:

Working with RAG, vector databases, and frameworks like LangChain or LangGraph.

Handling large-scale data processing for AI use cases.

Familiarity with Azure AI Foundry or similar cloud-based GenAI platforms.

Implementing AI solutions in highly regulated industries.
