The Job
We are looking for a (Senior) Cloud Platform Engineer. Cloud Platform Engineers at Logpoint are hybrid software/systems engineers who ensure that Logpoint’s production services run smoothly and have the capacity for future growth.
On the Cloud Platform team, you and your teammates will design, build and operate our AWS-based cloud platform that powers Logpoint’s cloud products. Your work delivering secure and stable infrastructure will empower our product teams to quickly and confidently create customer value and directly impact the next phase of our growth.
What You Will Be Doing:
Build our cloud platform: Design, build, deploy and maintain our core cloud platform and services via Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
Orchestration: Build robust, scalable infrastructure on AWS by leveraging tools like Terraform, Elastic Container Service (ECS) and Kubernetes (k8s).
Write code: We need you to write code in Python or Go for building shared services, tools, and automation used by all product teams.
Support our product teams: Own and advance our CI/CD pipelines to provide our engineering teams with a reliable path to production.
Reliability: Design & implement best practices for observability and resilience.
SOC2: You will support and enforce our SOC2-compliant environment, embedding security into everything you build.
What you bring to the table:
Professional experience in DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Engineering.
Strong hands-on experience with AWS.
Experience writing IaC using Terraform.
Experience with containers and orchestration technologies like Kubernetes
Strong software development skills, and ready to write code in languages like Python and Go. You will be writing code, not just scripts.
Experience with CI/CD principles and capable of building effective pipelines for software delivery.
Your skills and experience:
SOC2 experience, or other regulated security framework.
Experience in the cybersecurity industry.
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
As a person,
You are a builder at heart and are passionate about building tools that enable other engineers.
You have a "product mindset" and view infrastructure as a product for your internal customers (our product teams).
You are a strong collaborator who communicates clearly and enjoys solving complex problems as part of a team.
You are naturally curious and driven to automate processes to improve reliability and efficiency.
You have a security-first approach to building and operating systems.
