Nofipa is a trading company working across multiple business areas: Buy-back sales (a modern take on pawnbroking), buying gold from private individuals and businesses, and selling vintage jewelry, designer bags, and gold bars. What ties our concepts together is that IT is deeply embedded in everything we do. Our tech team supports all business units and ensures the company can scale as efficiently as possible. Since our start in 2018, we have grown from a basement space to eight stores and more than 50 employees.

## Your role and key responsibilities

You will become a core part of our small but crucial development team, working closely with 2-3 developers including our Head of IT. Your primary mission is to translate business needs into stable, efficient systems and ensure our platform scales with our growth.

Your key responsibilities include:

- Maintaining and modernizing our core Node.js platform to ensure stability and performance.

- Designing and implementing internal automations and dashboards that simplify daily work for our business and sales teams.

- Expanding and optimizing our APIs and event-driven architecture for both internal systems and external integrations.

- Working closely with the Head of IT, business developers, and other engineers to turn ideas into robust solutions.

## Your profile and our tech stack

We are looking for a responsible, proactive developer with a strong eye for detail and quality who thrives in collaboration and teamwork.

### Core competencies (must-haves)

- Node.js: Most of our backend is built in Node.js.

- API design: Experience designing APIs and event-driven system communication.

- Frontend: Experience with a frontend framework. We primarily use React and Next.js (and raw HTML).

We aim to be among the strongest in leveraging AI in the development process. Therefore, we are seeking someone who:

- Is curious about the evolution of AI and uses AI-assisted tools like ChatGPT or Claude in daily workflows.

- Is motivated to improve productivity through new tools and workflows.

- Sees AI as a natural part of modern development and enjoys sharing knowledge with the team.

Experience with the following is a plus, as they are part of our current or future stack:

- Databases/Languages: Supabase/Postgres, Python

- Tools: Docker, GraphQL

- Systems: Next.js, Shopify API (GraphQL + REST), WooCommerce/WordPress

## Who is Nofipa
