Role, Purpose & Impact
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Software Engineer to help design, build, and maintain our cloud-based, real-time data infrastructure. You’ll contribute to scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems that power our streaming, processing, and analytics platforms, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable solutions for critical business needs.
Key responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain backend services and microservices using C# / .NET Core.
Build and operate cloud-native solutions on AWS (or other major cloud platforms).
Architect, implement, and maintain real-time data streaming pipelines using Amazon Kinesis, Apache Kafka, or similar technologies.
Integrate streaming pipelines with internal systems such as databases, APIs, and data lakes.
Collaborate with product owners, data engineers, DevOps, and other teams to deliver reliable, scalable solutions.
Ensure high availability, performance, and security of distributed cloud systems.
Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and production troubleshooting.
Create and maintain clear, high-quality technical documentation for services, APIs, data flows, and architectural components.
What you’ll bring
Several years of backend engineering experience (e.g., 4+ years) with a focus on C# / .NET Core.
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, including key services (ECS, ECR, S3, Lambda, IAM, Kinesis, etc).
Practical experience with streaming platforms (Amazon Kinesis, Apache Kafka, or related).
Good understanding of distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and microservices.
Familiarity with containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes or similar), and general DevOps concepts.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, plus the ability to work effectively in an agile environment.
Nice-to-Have
Experience contributing to or improving CI/CD pipelines, automation, or infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.).
Frontend experience with modern frameworks, especially Angular.
Monitoring, logging, and observability knowledge for distributed cloud systems.
Understanding of cloud and streaming security best practices.
Experience with ETL pipelines, data frameworks, and additional programming languages.

About the office(s)
In this role you will be working in Vesterbro in the heart of Copenhagen. This is Queue-it’s largest office and global headquarters. Our space is designed to support both collaboration and focus, with an open-plan layout, quiet rooms, and dedicated areas for deep work. For fun and downtime, we have a ping pong table, foosball, and regular social activities. You’ll also enjoy daily snacks, fresh fruit, great coffee, and access to a subsidized canteen in the building.
